Winning Heineken Bottles Head Into Market
Kiwis struggling to choose their favourite sport at the moment - football versus rugby - may have their problem solved - and dreams come true - all at once thanks to Heineken.
Heineken has just released special shrink-wrapped Heineken bottles into the market which offer amazing prizes including the chance for three people to attend not only the Rugby World Cup 2011 Final but also the 2011 UIFA Champions League Final and an incredible music event in Europe.
The winners will get to travel business-class with a friend and enjoy Heineken hospitality throughout the trip including accommodation and entertainment.
Heineken, a Worldwide Partner and Official Beer of Rugby World Cup 2011, is running the ‘2011 Live it with Heineken’ promotion nationwide through 12 and 15-packs.
Just where the winning bottles will be found - and when - is anyone’s guess at this point.
Consumers need to watch out for green shrink-wrapped bottles but also silver and red bottles. Those that find a silver Heineken bottle will win one of 30 Rugby World Cup 2011 Heineken double door fridges while those that discover a red bottle will receive one of 1000 Heineken home bar kits complete with glasses, a bar towel, bottle opener and coasters.
The promotion ends on 31 December 2010 setting the mood perfectly as we move toward Rugby World Cup 2011 celebrations.
Heineken New Zealand’s managing director, Brian Blake, who personally seeded in the first major prize bottle on the packaging line says the promotion demonstrates what Heineken brings to international events.
“Heineken is delighted to help contribute to the great atmosphere at these global events; the winners will get to experience the most amazing year of their life, culminating in the biggest event ever to come to New Zealand, the Rugby World Cup 2011 Final at Eden Park on 23rd October, 2011 thanks to Heineken.

Mr Blake says this Heineken on-pack promotion is just one example of how Heineken will be bringing Rugby World Cup 2011 to life for its consumers.
