Symantec Introduces Archiving and eDiscovery
Specialisation for Partners
New
Specialisation rewards partner investment in Symantec
solutions that help customers store, manage and discover
unstructured information
Symantec Corp.
(NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced the Archiving and eDiscovery
Specialisation, which provides Symantec channel partners who
have demonstrated competence in Symantec solutions for
Archiving and eDiscovery with exclusive benefits designed to
help increase their competitive advantage, improve
recognition by customers and drive more revenue. Symantec
partners achieve the Archiving and eDiscovery Specialisation
by successfully completing sales and technical
accreditations for Symantec Enterprise Vault, the industry
leader in email and content archiving. Additional guidelines
and requirements for accreditation can found here.
“Specialisations have
become the cornerstone of Symantec’s partnering strategy
and will be the primary means by which Symantec enables
partners to differentiate their business, deliver more value
to customers, and take advantage of new market
opportunities,” said David Dzienciol, vice president,
Channels and SMB, Asia Pacific and Japan, Symantec.
“Symantec is focused on providing partners with enough
time to begin the process of achieving Specialisations that
are relevant to their business before the switch to the
enhanced programme requirements happening at the end of
2010. The launch of the Archiving and eDiscovery
Specialisation programme in Asia Pacific and Japan
demonstrates Symantec’s commitment to enabling partner
competence in key solutions areas well before the new
Specialisation programme comes into effect at the end of the
year.”
Symantec’s newest Specialisation will give qualified
partners greater access to Symantec sales and technical
resources to help them accelerate the sales cycle, as well
as financial incentives, including promotions and rebates in
the Opportunity Registration programme,
designed to accelerate profitability. Partners who achieve
the Specialisation will also be able to differentiate
themselves with designation as an Archiving and eDiscovery
Specialised partner within Symantec’s Partner Locator . The latest Symantec
Specialisation supports the company’s increased focus on
driving partner competence in key solutions areas and
providing partners with increased channel enablement tools
designed to help them increase their revenue and deliver
more value to their customers.
The Archiving and
eDiscovery Specialisation requirements necessitate that
partners attain sales and technical accreditations, which
ensures they have a deep expertise in selling and deploying
Symantec Enterprise Vault. Partners who achieve this new
Specialisation will be enabled to more effectively deliver
solutions to help customers improve management, reduce costs
and control information risk associated with storing and
managing their unstructured information. The Archiving and
eDiscovery Specialisation is now available to Global
Strategic, Channel Platinum, Gold, Silver Corporate
Reseller; Silver; Registered and Distribution level
partners.
