Sony named most trusted brand once again
Auckland, 30 June 2010 – Sony
has been voted the most trusted brand in electronics and
computer categories and the third most trusted brand overall
by the Readers Digest 2010 Trusted Brand Survey.
Producing some of New Zealand’s best audio, video, game, communications, key device and information technology products, this award reflects Sony’s commitment to being a quality brand that delivers on its promises.
Sony is continually producing innovative new products in response to the ever changing market. In the last few months Sony has launched products such as the VAIO P Series pocket style PC which is smaller than a notebook and smarter than a smart phone, the water resistant, wireless W Series Walkman and later this year they will be launching their very first 3D TV.
Sony is also involved in the local community on a number of levels including the support of emerging creative talent with scholarships such as the AUT Design and Creative Technologies Scholarship. They also have a strong connection with football; recently renewing their sponsorship with the Wellington Phoenix and awarding 13 year old football fan Aitken Hawkins the coveted opportunity to carry the FIFA flag onto the field at the Italy vs All Whites game in South Africa.
“We really value these awards because they are the ones that count. Ultimately it is customers’ experience with our products that make Sony a success. Awards like this make us proud of what we are doing and also provide a great incentive for us to work even harder to continue to provide the best products and the best service”, said Martin McManus, Sony’s Managing Director.
Sony has been recognised as a trusted brand by Reader’s Digest in previous years both in New Zealand and internationally.
