Yahoo!Xtra Kicks Off Round Two of its Digital Strategy Awards
Yahoo!Xtra’s Digital Strategy Awards Celebrate Smart Digital Thinking

Yahoo!Xtra has kicked off round two of its digital strategy awards following a successful launch of the awards in April.

MEC won the inaugural awards with its Caltex with Techron campaign.

The award recipient will be selected for their smart thinking in developing digital strategy that delivers outstanding campaigns and business objectives for advertisers.

“Digital media has grown over other media categories and comprised 11% advertising spend in 2009,” says Laura Maxwell-Hansen, Yahoo! Xtra’s General Manager.

“The awards reflect the growing relevance of digital media and recognise the key role it plays in the success of campaigns.”

The awards are judged quarterly. Entries for quarter two close Friday August 13 and will be assessed by a panel of three, including regular judges Maxwell-Hansen and Helen Baxter from Mohawk Media with a guest judge to be confirmed.

The four quarterly winners will be eligible for the overall Y!X DSA Annual prize of $10,000 of media on Y!X plus free entry into the CAANZ Media Awards Best Use of Digital category. The first annual winner will be announced in February 2011.

More information can be found at http://nz.advertising.yahoo.com/awards.

Yahoo!Xtra has been the #1 homepage for New Zealanders for four months running, with 3.9 million unique browsers in June.
