Free Online In-Out Board Keeps Track of Staff

Free Online In-Out Board Keeps Track of Staff

Media Release
23/7/2010

Where’s John? What time will Kate be in today? Tired of not knowing where the team are? Does your office use one of those in-out boards that hangs in reception? That was so last century! Christchurch-based IT consultancy Digital Fusion have put a modern twist on this tool and created a web based version.

“Tabzon shows you the location and availability of all staff at a glance. It’s ideal for any organisation that has more than a handful of employees, particularly if they’re mobile or in and out of meetings.” says developer Matthew Rhodes.

“Being able to quickly view everyones’ status and whereabouts eliminates guesswork, saves time and leads to a more efficient workplace. You’re only a click away from updating your own status, someone else’ status or looking up one of your teams contact details” he says.

Because it’s web-based, there’s no software to install and Tabzon can be accessed from anywhere that has an internet connection. One American company, say they’re using Tabzon to help keep track of repair techs out in the eld, another Canadian organisation say the simplicity makes it perfect for them.

Digital Fusion design and develop tailored websites and database applications, with a focus on helping clients to streamline business processes. As with many good ideas, Tabzon was originally created to solve an in-house problem. Since it’s release in April there have been nearly 1000 groups signed up from all corners of the globe and there are plans afoot to add iPhone and iPad versions.
