Symantec Announces 2010 New Zealand Partner Award Winners

Datastor, Gen-I and Maclean Computing win Symantec’s 2010 Partner Awards

Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the recipients of its 2010 New Zealand Partner Awards during the Symantec Technology Briefings 2010 conference. The Symantec New Zealand Partner Awards recognise local channel partners that demonstrate innovative delivery of services and solutions to customers and acknowledge their hard work and commitment to selling Symantec’s portfolio of security, availability and systems management solutions. The award winners are selected on criteria including overall performance in revenue, deal registration, technical and marketing investments, customer service excellence and certification.

There are three Symantec New Zealand Partner Award categories. The 2010 award winners are:
• Pacific Distributor of the Year: Datastor
• New Zealand Enterprise Value Partner of the Year: Gen-i
• New Zealand SMB Value Partner of the Year: Maclean Computing

“Datastor, Maclean Computing and Gen-i’s dedication and commitment to the Symantec’s security, storage and systems management portfolio helped solidify their category wins this year,” said Craig Scroggie, vice president and managing director, Symantec, Pacific Region. “We congratulate this year’s winners and look forward to continuing to support all of our partners throughout 2010.”

Symantec Specialization Program
Last week Symantec announced the new IT Compliance and Foundational Enterprise Security Specialisations. These provide qualified partners with exclusive benefits designed to help increase their competitive advantage, improve recognition by customers and drive more revenue.

“New Zealand has a diverse and vibrant market, including a strong SME segment, that Symantec depends on partners to reach. Symantec remains dedicated to helping partners achieve profitable growth through our education and specialisation programmes,” added Scroggie.
