Clemenger Group New Zealand Establishes Human Resources Role
Clemenger Group New
Zealand has appointed Margot Chandler as its People
Development Director in the company’s newly developed
Human Resources (HR) role.
The new role recognises the importance of staff development at the Clemenger Group, New Zealand’s largest marketing and communications company.
Clemenger Group CEO Jim Moser says: “We’ve done well to manage our HR through our Finance and Administration departments up until now, however the market has changed and this new role will help us to improve our staff development, training and retention.
“Margot is the perfect fit for us as she has a tremendous amount of relevant experience, understands the communications industry and will be an excellent cultural fit for the broader Clemenger Group.”
Margot joins the Clemenger Group from her most recent role as Capability Manager for Vector. “I am very much looking forward to this new role in such a creative organisation as Clemengers. I am confident the role will add value to the business,” says Ms Chandler.
Margot started her career as a broadcast journalist with roles at TVNZ, BBC Radio and BBC Television.
In 1998 Margot took on the role of Performance Manager at TVNZ and in 2002 she became Training Manager, TVNZ News and Current Affairs. In this role she developed and managed a strategic training and development plan to support the performance of TVNZ news staff.
In 2003 Margot became the Learning and Development Manager for TVNZ responsible for driving learning, development and organisation-wide HR initiatives.
Margot left TVNZ in 2007 to take up the role of Capability Manager at Vector where she has been for the past three years.
