to the world’s biggest concerts

Auckland, 4th October 2010: For the first time in New Zealand, Contiki Holidays is offering the top 10 travel agents the chance to see a world class concert in an amazing foreign destination. The final standings will be based on which agents sell the most applicable tours (see Terms and Conditions). This fabulous prize will include tickets, return airfares and access to an exclusive Contiki tour.

For example, the winners of last year’s Australian competition are off to see The Black Eyed Peas in the Canadian Rockies. The red carpet is being rolled out for the lucky agents as they take a tour of some of Canada’s coolest sites, including Vancouver and Whistler before taking in the concert itself.

Past events have included U2 and Snow Patrol in Toronto, the Rolling Stones in Istanbul, Alanis Morissette in Toronto, Bon Jovi in Dublin, INXS, Pink and Lenny Kravitz in Las Vegas, Robbie Williams in London, Madonna in Dublin, U2 in Madrid, the Red Hot Chili Peppers in San Diego, Gwen Stefani in Berlin and The Police in Vienna.

How do I qualify? Tours must be of 6 days or more in length from Contiki Europe, USA, Canada and Mexico, Asia, Australia and New Zealand brochures.

What are the booking dates? Bookings must have been made and deposited between 1 July 2010 and 30 June 2011, for Contiki tours departing in 2011.

What tours are excluded? Excluded tours are as follows: Bay of Islands, Sun and Steam, City to Surf, Rainforest Adventure, Snorkel to Adventure, Alice & Uluru, Alice & Kakadu, Sydney Explorer, Melbourne Explorer, Sydney New Year, Whitsunday Sailing, Easter in Amsterdam, Amsterdam New Year, Paris New Year, Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Munich Oktoberfest, Ski Austria, London Explorer, Corfu Explorer, Spotlight on Greece (tour only), Vienna and Budapest, Gap departures, New York Explorer, LA Explorer, New York New Year, Las Vegas New Year, San Francisco New Year, Hawaiian Stopovers, Yucatan Explorer, Sapa Trekking. Other exclusions: Agent Discount bookings and groups (charter or seat on coach).

Are bookings transferrable? Qualifying bookings are based on the original consultant at time of booking are not transferrable between consultants at any stage during the booking. If a consultant changes agency, it is the consultant’s responsibility to advise Contiki Holidays of their move.

What exactly do I win? The winning trip includes a concert in a surprise destination, international airfares (no upgrades or changes available), and an exclusive Contiki tour including accommodation (twin share only), many activities, transport, and meals as per the itinerary. Not included in the winning trip are visas, travel insurance, domestic flights to connect to international air, some meals and beverages, additional spending money and items of personal nature.

Anything else? The winning place is non transferrable, changeable or redeemable for cash. Winners must be employed full time at a Travel Agency in New Zealand at the time of the trip.
