Colenso BBDO Tops the Effies List

Colenso BBDO Tops the Effies List Scooping 12 Awards Award tally includes Most Effective Agency of the Year and Best in Show.

For the second year running Colenso BBDO has topped the awards list at the 2010 EFFIE Awards, taking home 12 awards including Most Effective Agency of the Year and Best in Show for its Whiskas Dry re-launch.

Colenso BBDO is the only agency in the history of the New Zealand EFFIE Awards to win Most Effective Agency of the Year two years in a row, and the only agency to win Most Effective Agency of the Year and Best in Show in the same year.

Nick Garrett, managing director, Colenso BBDO says, “We are thrilled with the result because it means that the work we are producing works and it is a great example of how powerful creative thinking can be used as a business tool.”

Colenso’s Best in Show Whiskas Dry re-launch campaign for Mars New Zealand resulted in double digit growth, despite a price lift and reduction in distribution, reversing a six-year share decline and outperforming the category by a factor of five.

It’s V Rocket Pack campaign for Frucor (which picked up four awards) recorded Colmar Brunton’s highest ever scores on multiple communications measures, creating market share domination in the energy shot category and delivering double digit growth to the V family.
