Burgerfuel Opens Tap on More Stores in Saudi Arabia
BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) will begin opening more stores in the Midde East; confirming that its second location in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia has been signed off. The next store in the Al Shata Mall in Dammam marks a key milestone for BurgerFuel as they move from the establishment of their first store into the expansion phase.
The site in Dammam offers another high profile location positioned to obtain maximum visibility and foot traffic. The city of Dammam itself, is the largest in the Eastern province and is home to the largest sea port in the Persian Gulf.
The first Saudi Arabian BurgerFuel outlet opened in February this year and that store has performed extremely well. Chris Mason - BurgerFuel Managing Director of International Markets said that "the concept has proven itself quickly and our Saudi Arabian partners are now ready to commence the rollout phase of opening more BurgerFuel stores."
Company General Manager of BurgerFuel's Saudi Arabian partner, Mr Hamad Albuali, said that "the performance of BurgerFuel in the region had been very strong and had captured the hearts of the Saudi people.” He said that the company is committed to the rollout of more stores in Saudi Arabia and have created a separate division to handle the expansion.
The President of the Abdulla Fouad Group, Sheikh Faisal Fouad, also stated that he "enjoyed the project and the burgers," reinforcing the Saudi Top 100 company's mandate to expand the business in Saudi Arabia.
In July this year BurgerFuel Dubai also opened in the prestigious JBR - Jumeriah Beach Residence strip, as the second Middle Eastern market for the New Zealand company. This store has also proven to be popular in Dubai, and is expected to grow as the height of summer subsides and more tourists and locals are arriving to enjoy more pleasant temperatures.
BFW exports all its beef from New Zealand to the Middle East and this is used exclusively in its burgers. The company said that revenue from exports as well as royalties would begin to rise as it managed to expand distribution with more stores - in addition to the royalties from the current annual system sales now exceeding $30 million.
