2degrees introduces the largest and longest lasting mobile data prepay plan in NZ
In response to customer demand for its mobile broadband products, 2degrees today introduced a 12GB mobile broadband zone Data Pack lasting a full 180 days for $150. This is the largest and longest-lasting mobile broadband product on the market, giving customers even better value and more time to enjoy mobile Internet at their fingertips.
“Some customers are using our USB modems and WiFi routers as complete replacements for their home fixed-line connections, so this new data pack is perfect for them. But it’s also great for customers that want price certainty without topping up every month. Buy it once, and enjoy mobile data for nearly six months,” says Larrie Moore, Chief Marketing Officer, 2degrees.
12GB is the largest plan on the NZ market, significantly larger than standard competitor offerings which max out at 4GB (doubling to 8GB if you exceed your cap). Lasting 180 days, this plan is also the longest lasting pre pay plan available, meaning you don’t need to sign a contract to get the best rates on the market. Quite simply at 180 days validity, and $12.50 per GB at full ulitisation, this is the best mobile broadband plan in New Zealand today.
In addition to launching the 12GB plan, 2degrees is also making launch offers permanent across their other plans. The full Mobile Broadband pricing from 2degrees is shown in the table below:

The
announcement is the latest in a series of moves to increase
access to mobile Internet services. In August, 2degrees
launched Mobile Broadband Data Packs for use in its
broadband zones located in Auckland, Wellington,
Christchurch and Queenstown. In September, 2degrees launched
the Huawei E5 WiFi router to complement the USB modem
devices already offered on its 3G network.
The new Data
Pack changes go into effect from 1
November.
