NZICA delivers new banking benefits to members via Westpac deal

The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) is pleased to announce it has signed a partnership agreement with one of New Zealand’s largest banks, offering its members preferential offers with Westpac Bank including for home and personal loans.

The partnership offers NZICA’s 32,000 members preferential deals on personal and business banking including special ongoing rates on merchant transactions and term deposits and a special introductory home loan offer with a market leading rate.

NZICA chief executive Terry McLaughlin says, “We’re delighted to announce this agreement with Westpac which fits our strategy of partnering with premier providers to deliver the very best service and rates for our members.”

Today’s announcement is one of several strategic partnerships recently announced by NZICA including most recently the partnership agreement with health insurer Accuro and before that software provider Xero.

“We are dedicated to providing our members attractive benefits for their professional and personal lives. Today’s partnership with Westpac is yet another significant addition to our suite of premium service providers.”

Westpac’s General Manager Business Banking Ian Blair says the partnership represents a valuable opportunity to work with NZICA’s 32,000 members across all areas of its banking network. “This partnership enables us to work alongside accountants in their business to provide relevant advice and support at a local branch level.”

Westpac has a national relationship team dedicated to delivering the benefits of their partnerships, recently adding 100 new business bankers and an additional seven new branches to its banking network. “We are well positioned to assist NZICA members throughout the country via our personal managers, private banking and business managers,” says Blair.

The partnership agreement is effective today. NZICA members wishing to take advantage of the new benefits, including the marketing leading introductory home loan rate, should contact their local Westpac branch and identify themselves as an NZICA member.
