Harcourts’ Ashburton franchise honoured

25 November 2010: Harcourts’ Ashburton franchise was honoured yesterday, receiving a special award in recognition of the company’s 20-year membership of the Harcourts group.

Phillip Kenny Real Estate Ltd was one of the first companies to acquire a Harcourts franchise when Harcourts Group Ltd first introduced the franchise model, with yesterday officially marking the 20-year anniversary of when business owner Phillip Kenny signed up to join what is now the country’s largest and a growing international real estate group.

Mr Kenny, who commenced his real estate career in 1982 as a residential sales consultant, says he was humbled by the celebrations and special framed certificate presented to him to honour his company and its achievements over the past two decades within the Harcourts group.

“I’m as proud now as I was 20 years ago for my business to be a member of the Harcourts group. The technology and other tools they provide along with the training and support available is world-class and has definitely helped ensure my team and I have achieved success.”

Harcourts New Zealand CEO Hayden Duncan says Mr Kenny and his business exemplify what is possible from combining local knowledge and expertise with the brand and resources of a powerful real estate group.

“Phillip is a hugely experienced realtor who during his 20 years with our group has built a loyal team of local real estate specialists and coupled that with the Harcourts advantages to establish his business as a market leader in Ashburton.

“In addition to his success in real estate Phillip should also be commended for being both a devoted family man and a huge supporter of this local community, including being a long-standing volunteer for the local Fire Service.”
