BNZ ATMs stock Aussie dollars

BNZ ATMs stock Aussie dollars

From today, and just in time for Christmas holidays, Australia got that one-step-closer thanks to BNZ.

In a New Zealand banking first, Kiwis in need of Aussie cash will be able to conveniently withdraw what they need from one of BNZ’s ATMs located at 80 Queen Street in Auckland.

It’s the first time a New Zealand bank ATM will stock Australian cash and is aimed to make things easier for anyone making the trip across the ditch.

Andy Symons, BNZ Director of Retail, says it’s all about convenience and making life simpler for the nearly 1 million trips to Australia that have occurred in the past year*. “With almost half of all short term departures by Kiwis travelling overseas in the past year heading to Australia, we think the convenience of being able to withdraw Aussie cash from an ATM before jumping on the plane will be a winner for customers.”

BNZ plan to extend this time saving initiative and stock ATMs in all the main centres with Aussie dollars in the future.
