Gull Holds Fuel Prices

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gull Holds Fuel Prices

Auckland, 20 January 2011 – Gull has today committed to holding its current fuel prices until next Monday. This comes after a decision earlier this week not to follow the major oil companies’ price increase.

Graham Stirk, Gull Retail Manager says that while the refined barrel and exchange rates are both volatile, this does not equate to a price increase.

“Gull is committed to giving value for money and fair pricing to the Kiwi motorist. We avoid knee-jerk reactions to blips in the refined barrel price and/or exchange rates. The weekend is a time for Kiwis to get out and about on the road and enjoy the summer weather. Save money this weekend by filling up at Gull.

“We’ll look at our margins again on Monday morning and make a decision at that time,” says Stirk.

At the majority of Gull outlets where Gull controls retail prices, prices are as follows:

Gull Regular Plus (91 Octane) $1.959
Gull Regular (91 Octane) $1.969
Gull Force 10 (98 Octane) $2.109
Gull Diesel Max (5% biodiesel Blend) $1.319
Gull Low Sulphur Diesel $1.329

Gull’s increasing network of unmanned sites will offer a further discount on these prices.
