Canon’s new PIXMA printers provide big office efficiency to the home office and small business
Time-saving features and Wi-Fi connectivity take Canon inkjet printers to new level of quality
PIXMA MX885
Canon today announced the launch of four new PIXMA multifunction inkjet printers and one compact A3 printer that are sleeker, faster and easier to use than ever before. Designed to meet the needs of small business owners, freelancers and home office workers, the new PIXMA office range of printers now includes features that better meet the needs of home office professionals.
One stand-out new feature in the new PIXMA MX885 is auto double-sided copying and scanning. This feature saves time and enables users to work more efficiently by eliminating the need to load – and then turn – individual sheets of paper to copy and scan double-sided documents.
“With the 2011 PIXMA office models, it’s all about performance and ease of use,” says Robert de Jeu, Brand Manager – Print Solutions, Canon New Zealand. “The new PIXMA printers are sleek, fast and loaded with features designed to help users work smarter, not harder. To save users time and paper, multifunction MX range printers all have auto document feed (ADF) and WiFi/Ethernet Connectivity, and will fax, print, scan, copy, as well as print photos direct from cameras or memory cards.”
Taking into account all types of small office needs, Canon announces the new PIXMA iX6550 single-function A3 printer.
“This PIXMA iX6550 is ideal for small business owners such as real estate agents or franchisees looking to produce high-quality documents and marketing materials ranging from A5 to A3 size,” says de Jeu. “The new model has a compact, sleek design that is nearly 30% smaller than its predecessor, allowing it to fit nicely into confined office spaces.”
Bigger screen and user-friendly interface
Supporting “ease of use” for the new models, Canon has improved function accessibility by enlarging the operating panel and locating it on the ADF lid. Moreover, larger buttons and a dual function layout mean that commonly used functions are clearly visible and just one touch away. Together with an enlarged LCD display, the easier interface contributes to work efficiency.
Canon Supports ISO/IEC 24734 and 24735 Productivity Standards for Inkjet Printers
Helping customers evaluate and compare print speeds of various printer models, Canon applies the ISO/IEC 24734 and 24735 International Standards for measuring print and copy speed. The standards measure print and copy output in images-per-minute (IPM), and calculate print and copy speed by printing out a number of standard Microsoft Excel, Word and PDF documents on letter-sized paper in default mode.
PDF and Fax Security
The PIXMA Office range of printers send high-speed fax transmission using Canon’s super fast G3 Fax technology, and provide greater efficiency, reliability and confidentiality than ever before. Perfect for work that involves sensitive documents, the PIXMA MX series prevents mistaken fax transmissions and creates PDF files with security passwords.
