Creative Trades announces closure

The Chair of the Creative Trade Industry Training Organisation (CTITO) has today confirmed that the organisation has ceased operating.

³In recent months the number of trainees in work has been dropping steadily, which means we have been arranging training for fewer trainees than were forecast and our costs were exceeding our revenue,² said Paul Reddish, the Chairperson of the CTITO Board.

Mr Paul Reddish confirmed that the organisation is doing everything possible to ensure its trainees are not disadvantaged as a result of its voluntary closure.

³I have been working closely with the Tertiary Education Commission, the Industry Training Federation and other ITOs in recent days to ensure that the needs of all trainees are met. This has included ensuring all details of their training is available for the ITOs who will take over arranging their training,² said Paul Reddish.

In order to manage an orderly closure of the charitable trust, the Board is in the process of appointing a liquidator.
