Mega Land Sale for Queenstown
In a unique, one day, silent auction event, up to 20 sections in a stunning development with lake and mountain views near Queenstown are to be sold.
The residential sections are located at Jack's Point and are being sold by current owner Lifestyles of New Zealand (2008) Ltd which purchased the sites from the original developer in 2006. The sections will be sold in a mega land sale to take place at the Jack's Point clubrooms at 1pm on March 20th 2011.
The auction event is expected to draw a wide range of buyers from throughout Southland and Otago according to listing agent Bas Smith, owner of Ray White Queenstown and is a windfall for people who are considering entering, re-entering or investing in the property market.
"These sections could sell at half their current rateable valuations. Even at this low point in the property cycle, a 50% discount on valuation is an unbelievable bargain that up to 20 lucky people will benefit from.
"We think this has the potential to bring back to the market Southland and Otago people who have historically held property in this region but have been forced out by price in recent years. First home buyers, second home buyers, builders, tradespeople and investors all have an equal opportunity to secure a section in one of the most beautiful subdivisions in the Queenstown Lakes region, if not the country."
Potential buyers can preview the event and properties on offer at the Queenstown Home Show to be held at the Queenstown Events Centre February 18 - 20 They can also register for the auction and place an opening bid.*
Mr Smith says the one off event has been brought about by a special set of circumstances and is unlikely to be repeated.
"Sunday the 20th will be quite an event," he says. "Opening bids will be the reserve and will be set at up to 50% plus of the QV."
*A deposit of $1000 is payable at registration - refundable if no purchase is made. As early bid incentives, a $5000 or $2500 discount is offered to the opening bidder should they win the auction on that site. Conditions apply, please ask for more information.
