The NZ Workplace Health and Safety Awards 2011

Auckland March 10, 2011 – Entries are now being accepted for the New Zealand Workplace Health and Safety Awards 2011.

Run by Safeguard magazine with the support of the Department of Labour, the annual awards acknowledge the most innovative and effective ways to reduce the burden of death, injury and illness in New Zealand workplaces.

The awards also acknowledge the individuals behind successful health and safety initiatives.

Entry is free and simple. Entries must be received by Friday April 15.
The awards have been run every year since 2005, and culminate in a gala dinner in Auckland on June 1 at which more than 400 guests will learn who has won each of the twelve categories.

Information about how to enter the awards is at www.safeguard.co.nz.
Notes for editors

Safeguard is published by Thomson Reuters. It is New Zealand’s leading publication on the management of health and safety in the workplace.

The Safeguard National Health and Safety Conference runs for two days in Auckland on June 1 and 2. Among many presentations will be three from overseas speakers who will be presenting their ideas for the first time in New Zealand.
The conference programme is available from www.safeguard.co.nz.
