Last call for Mega Land Sale early registration

Media release from Ray White Queenstown
10 March 2011

Last call for Mega Land Sale early registrations

Those interested in securing a $5,000 discount* on one of 20 “hot” sections going under the hammer next weekend need to register their opening bid by 5pm this Monday (14 March). That’s the message from Real Estate agent Bas Smith who says 30% of the properties already have an opening bid.

“$5000 is a chunky discount that comes directly off the final price on the fall of the hammer. If you’re considering one of these properties, it’s well worth putting that thought into action – you may walk away with an amazing deal in one of Queenstown’s finest subdivisions,” he said.

The final prices of the 20 sections will be decided by the market in a unique one-day silent auction on site at the stunning Jack’s Point Clubhouse and restaurant at 1pm, Sunday 20 March.

The Mega Land Sale is offered by Ray White Queenstown on the instructions of current owner Lifestyles of New Zealand (2008) Ltd which purchased the sites from the original developer.

Jack’s Point is located just 15 minutes from Queenstown alongside Lake Wakatipu with The Remarkables mountain range providing a dramatic backdrop. Section sizes vary from 739m2 to 1505m2 and are located on prime, sunny, flat residential land in elevated positions.

Mr Smith said interest was high locally, regionally and from across the Tasman.

“As you would expect, people have responded quickly to what is simply the best property deal in the area right now.”

“Sections could sell at half their current rateable valuations, and 20 people stand to benefit from an opportunity that doesn’t come around very often. Sites average a classic Kiwi quarter acre - that’s quite a large residential land parcel by today’s standards.”

The $5,000 discount* incentive is offered to those who place the first bid on any one of the sections prior to 5pm on March 14. Should any first bid on the initially chosen site not be successful, the bidders can the transfer the discount to another site.

More information, registration forms and site maps can be downloaded from www.rwqueenstown.co.nz/ by clicking on the Mega Land Sale tab.

A deposit of $1000 is payable at registration – refundable if no purchase is made. As early bid incentives, a $5000 or $2500 (for first bidders registered after March 14) discount is offered to the opening bidder should they win the auction on that or another site. Conditions apply, please ask for more information.
