EVENT Cinemas Brings VMAX to New Zealand

EVENT Cinemas Brings VMAX to New Zealand

Event Cinemas is launching the latest overseas cinema trend into New Zealand this week. General Manager in New Zealand, Jane Hastings says the concept of VMAX is additional comfort when going to the movies.

“VMAX is all about the big screen, big sound and big comfy seats for only an extra $2 on the normal ticket price. When you combine all of that, it sure results in maximum impact. It’s hugely popular overseas and we know it will be here, especially with Kiwi males.”

Mrs Hastings says it could almost be compared to business-class on an aeroplane.

“Going to the movies is all about escapism so being comfortable and relaxed is vital. The VMAX seating provides that plus allows patrons more leg room, it’s a huge step-up from economy but without the price tag of first-class.”

Whilst called different names overseas, VMAX is the Event Cinema term. Its first offering of VMAX in New Zealand is at St Lukes in Auckland with the aim of rolling it out across their sites through the country in the next 12 months.
