Free email protection for quake-affected businesses

Free email protection for quake-affected businesses

06 April 2011

Christchurch businesses affected by the 22 February earthquake are being offered a free email lifeline by TelstraClear. The company has partnered with Kiwi IT company Delta Technology Solutions to offer a free mail protection service until the end of September. The unique service protects and archives emails while giving secure access to them from any computer, anywhere in the world. State-of-the-art virus and spam protection is also included.

“Businesses rely on email for many business transactions and losing access, or losing emails, can mean the difference between survival and failure,” says Andrew Crabb, Acting Head of Business and Government at TelstraClear.

“We know the hardships that businesses affected by the Christchurch earthquake face and are doing what we can to help. TelstraClear and Delta Technology Solutions are offering this solution free to any affected business, not just our customers. Businesses can be assured that vital communication such as orders, purchase requests and compliance data is available and managed whilst they rebuild their IT infrastructure.”

The Mail Protection Service is free for Christchurch business until 30 September, and there is no obligation to continue with it after that date. Delta Technology Solutions’ support and training is also free for the duration of the period.

The TelstraClear and Delta Technology Solutions offer is available to Christchurch-based businesses with infrastructure that has been impacted by the disaster. The solution is ISP independent and there is no requirement or obligation to purchase any TelstraClear services during or after the six month free offer period.

Businesses wanting to ensure that they have continued and secure access to their emails can visit www.telstraclear.co.nz/go/mailprotect or call 0508 744 744.
