Quest Albany to meet World Cup demand

Construction on one of the North Shore’s newest accommodations – Quest Serviced Apartments Albany Village – is nearing completion as Rugby World Cup and an ever increasing number of visitors expected in the region quickly approach.
The $6m serviced apartment complex is the second premises developed for Quest by Auckland based property company Direct Property Fund and Fund Manager Simon Woodhams believes it is a timely addition.

“With visitors coming from around the world for Rugby World Cup, we have worked hard to ensure that Quest Albany was ready in time for the event and delivered to the exacting international standards that tenants expect from a Quest serviced apartment,” says Woodhams.

Quest New Zealand and Fiji CEO Stephen Mansfield adds that the recent announcement around Christchurch’s World Cup games moving from the city may put some added pressure on accommodation in Auckland.

“The Christchurch news has certainly been disappointing and hopefully we can support the influx of tourists to the Auckland region and the resulting increased demand on the hospitality market,” says Mansfield.

“Thanks to the efforts of DPF and contractor Haydn&Rollett Construction we are pleased to announce that Quest Albany Village will be completed ahead of schedule. The apartments are 500 metres from North Harbour Stadium and we hope will go some way towards helping those struggling to find nearby accommodation,” he says.

Quest Albany will bring an additional 38 fully serviced studio, one and two bedroom apartments to the heart of Albany Village, giving guests easy access to a range of business, industrial, sporting and educational facilities nearby.
The contract for the Albany site is the second in as many years between DPF and Quest Serviced Apartments New Zealand, with the Quest premises in Carlaw Park finished in early 2010.
