ACC Chief Executive open to fresh challenges
ACC Chief Executive open to fresh challenges
ACC’s Chief Executive for the past five years, Dr Jan White, has decided to explore other opportunities when her contract ends later this year.
Previously Chief Executive of the Waikato District Health Board, Dr White joined ACC at the end of October 2005. She has worked in medical and general management for over 20 years in both Australia and New Zealand.
Chair of the ACC Board, John Judge, says Dr White will leave ACC in December and the Board wishes her well as she seeks fresh challenges.
“Jan has led the organisation during an extremely challenging period as ACC has moved from a critical financial condition, to one where its financial footing looks more assured.
“The
Board is pleased with the changes in direction and culture
that have been made at ACC, and appreciate the immense
contribution that Jan has made to this.”
As Chief
Executive Dr White has been responsible for ACC’s systems
and internal controls, and monitoring the operational and
financial aspects of ACC’s activities. The role ensures
that ACC achieves its business objectives, including risk
management and ethical behaviour.
“We will be sorry to
see Jan go at the end of her contract, but in preparation
for her departure the recruitment for a new chief executive
will begin immediately,” says Mr Judge.
“The recruitment process recognises it will take time to find a suitable candidate and for them to be in a position to join the organisation and build on the successes achieved so far.”
