Order fert online at Ballance and Summit Quinphos

Customers of one of New Zealand's largest fertiliser co-operatives Ballance Agri-Nutrients and its subsidiary Summit Quinphos can now order their fertiliser over the internet, with the recent launch of new online ordering services.

So far nearly one thousand customers have signed up, with almost two million dollars worth of orders placed.

Once customers are registered they will be able to view their order history, price up products, place orders and access specialist technical information.

Ballance Agri-Nutrients Chief Executive, Larry Bilodeau, says this exciting new service is in line with the co-operative's vision of making it easier for farmers to do business with Ballance.

'This is a significant development for our farmer and business partners, as it's making it even easier for our customers to do business with us and making the most of the benefits our new computer system has to offer, he said.

'The 24-hour service means that customers can order at a time which suits them, especially given that farmers and growers tend to make the most of daylight hours.'

Mr Bilodeau said the project is paving the way for other related work, notably with consignment stores and merchant partners to both be online in the near future too, once again driving ease of business and improving order entry accuracy.

Coinciding with this is completion of a new website www.ballance.co.nz

To register for the online services customers simply need to phone the Ballance Customer Services team on 0800 222 090, and have their customer number ready.

Customers of Ballance subsidiary company Summit Quinphos can also now place orders online for fertiliser and animal nutrition products, as well as view their invoices.

General Manager of Summit Quinphos, Willie Thomson, said that now the farm nutrient company is wholly owned by Ballance this is one of the many benefits for its customers.
