Hubbards Brantastix Gives A Boost at Breakfast Time

Media Release 19 April 2011

Hubbards Brantastix Gives A Boost at Breakfast Time

Often referred to as “nature’s broom”, bran is becoming more popular than ever at breakfast time and now Hubbards has made eating bran a more enjoyable experience with their apple infused bran cereal.

Called Brantastix, the cereal features high fibre bran sticks which are infused with the goodness of real New Zealand apple juice. One serving provides half an adult’s daily fibre needs and it is also a good source of B vitamins, folic acid and iron.

The cereal tastes great on its own or added to other favourite cereals for an added fibre boost or you can add yoghurt and fruit for extra flavour.

Eating Brantastix is like giving your digestive system a spring clean. The fibre in bran acts as “nature’s broom” keeping your system regular and healthy.

Hubbards nutritionist, Shelley Banham says Brantastix is a great way to start your day.

“The dietary fibre in Brantastix helps to slow down the rate that energy is released from food so it will help you feel fuller for longer. This means you are less likely to grab a giant muffin at morning tea time to boost your flagging energy levels,” she says.

She also says that home baking can easily get a fibre boost by adding Brantastix. “I like to blend them up in a kitchen whizz and add them to my homemade banana muffins.”
