Adsend Launches Cloud-Based Certified Soft Proofing

Adsend Launches Cloud-Based Certified Soft Proofing

Across Australia and New Zealand
Sydney, 4 May 2011:

Adsend, Omnilab Media’s advanced web-based digital asset delivery service today announced the launch of its critically acclaimed Certified Soft Proofing, an industry first cloud-based soft proofing tool for press ads, across Australia and New Zealand.

Grant Schuetrumpf, Global CEO of Adsend explained, “Certified Soft Proofing is a revolution in print advertising fulfilment. Already the leading solution in the UK, Certified Soft Proofing allows Adsend users to accurately simulate a print ad on the desktop as it appears when printed in the magazine or newspaper publication.”

Adsend users who register for Certified Soft Proofing receive a Spectrophotometer that enables them to calibrate their screen with a few simple clicks of a mouse. The user is notified by the system when to calibrate the screen, which is recorded and auditable in Adsend to ensure the viewing of a press ad is more predictable in a controlled environment. The user also receives a guideline as to how their workplace environment may also be modified in order to best preview their press ads.

Schuetrumpf continued, “By integrating a process of screen calibration with this workflow, Adsend users can be sure they are viewing the profiled ad with optimum settings. Moreover, we capture these settings in the delivery process so that the receiving publisher has the confidence the advertising sender has proofed the ad in a controlled environment – hence the term 'certified'.”

Adsend users simply follow the standard Adsend web-based booking and delivery process and access the Certified Soft Proofing procedure, an additional approval check.

Schuetrumpf added, “Adsend, now with Certified Soft Proofing, offers a very efficient method in which to control and predict how your press ad is commercially printed, saving costs, reducing errors, and the time required to meet the publication deadline.”

There are several key reasons why Certified Soft Proofing has become the defacto standard proofing requirement with so many publishers across the world. In a climate where time and controlling costs are critical, Adsend with Certified Soft Proofing significantly reduces errors as a result of a managed, automated digital workflow process for ad approval, ad sizing, preflighting, proofing and delivery and is kinder to the environment by avoiding the need for hard proofs and couriers.

Adsend’s Certified Soft Proofing feature is live and available for use now through www.adsend.com.au and www.adsend.org.nz
