Update on Westfield Albany 4/5/11

An update for you on Westfield Albany

Noon Wednesday 4 May 2010

Following the tornado that struck the Albany area yesterday at 3pm Tuesday 3 May, Westfield Albany has completed their life safety and structural checks.

From Noon today: Kmart and the majority of stores on the upper level [being the level off Don McKinnon Drive adjacent level one] including the Foodcourt have reopened. NewWorld supermarket opens from 1pm today.

The centre’s lower level [being the Farmers and JBHi Fi/Baby City level remains closed.

Farmers Level One and Upper level with the surrounding stores on the upper level remain closed.

Event Cinemas are currently closed. We anticipate these will open a staged manner.

A list of stores that are not opening today will be posted on the Westfield website http://westfield.co.nz/albany/
