Sojourn Café & Bar is now offering an exclusive ‘After 5’ Grand High Tea. A nocturnal version of the traditional High Tea, the ‘After 5’ Grand High Tea replaces the conventional tea and coffee with a delicious tea-based cocktail.
A variation on the customary High Tea, our Restaurant & Bar Manager, Michael Wrigglesworth comments “High Tea is a timeless affair, inherited from our English ancestry and it has changed little over the years. So we decided it was about time to give it a fresh twist...and a shake and serve it on the rocks with a cherry garnish!”
Enjoy 3 tiers of bite-sized sweet and savoury snacks including Malay-style prawn, beef and chicken satay sticks, delectable petit fours and finger sandwiches. Our bartenders have designed a special tea-based cocktail menu to complement the High Tea. Creations include the ‘Mo-tea-to’ with Havana Club Blanco and Moroccan mint green tea, the ‘Rasberry Royale’ with raspberries, Manuka honey vodka and French vanilla tea and also the ‘Tea-tini’ for those who like it shaken not stirred.
Available Monday - Saturday from 5pm – 9.30pm in Sojourn Café, lobby level of James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor. Priced at $29.50 per person and includes a tea-based cocktail of your choice. Bookings are highly recommended. Reservations can be made by calling 04 4999 500.
