Air NZ Collects 3 Skytrax Awards

Air New Zealand Collects Three Skytrax Awards Including Best Airline Australia Pacific

Air New Zealand has for the second year in a row been named the ‘Best Airline Australia / Pacific’ at the prestigious 2011 Skytrax World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held at the Paris Air Show overnight.

Reflecting the success of its new world-first Premium Economy cabin in its Boeing 777-300 aircraft, Air New Zealand also picked up two global awards being named ‘World's Best Premium Economy Class Airline’, and the ‘World's Best Premium Economy Class Airline Catering’ at the same awards.

Skytrax said the awards reflect customer satisfaction levels of front-line product and service across 200 airlines and Air New Zealand is clearly demonstrating their popularity with passengers travelling to and within the Australia and Pacific region.

"For Air New Zealand to once again secure this award is an indication of the quality of product and service that is available to passengers on Air New Zealand flights," says Skytrax CEO Mr Edward Plaisted.

“Air New Zealand continues to be a pioneer within the Premium Economy market. Their awards for World’s Best Premium Economy and the inaugural Best Premium Economy Catering clearly proves that their effort have been very popular with passengers. We congratulate Air New Zealand on their success in the awards in what proved to be a very competitive Premium Economy section.”

Voted for by over 18.8 million airline passengers from 100 different nationalities, the Skytrax World Airline Awards are the most prestigious and respected awards for front-line product and service standards across the world airline industry.
