Maori Trustee contract awarded to Canon New Zealand

MEDIA RELEASE
1 July 2011

Maori Trustee contract awarded to Canon New Zealand

The contract to provide print and imaging solutions for the Maori Trustee has been won by Canon New Zealand.

Imaging solutions experts Canon New Zealand will supply the Maori Trustee with a full portfolio of products and software to manage print in its National Office in Wellington and five regional offices in Whangarei, Gisborne, Wanganui, Hamilton and Rotorua.

The deal will see the replacement of the full fleet of multifunction devices (MFDs) for the Maori Trustee, some of which had become outdated, and was negotiated through the all-of-government contracting process.

Canon’s solution allows for a long term goal for information management taken by the Trustee which, in the coming years, will see the introduction of document capture software making all information available across the network of regional offices. The solution will also provide a much needed facility for growth and change in the future business needs of the Maori Trustee, with the ability to add devices where and when required without disruption.

The Maori Trustee has also targeted the installation of Canon’s eCopy document management software for the coming years to lessen its operating costs and provide long term savings, while also allowing the organisation to easily forecast costs for print.

Canon New Zealand Country Manager Mike Johnston is pleased to have the opportunity to offer business imaging solutions to the Maori Trustee.
“Establishing this association with the Maori Trustee is the first step in what we hope will be a long relationship between the two organisations,” says Johnston.

“We are proud to have been selected from a strong panel of suppliers and we look forward to delivering the kind of solutions that can help the Maori Trustee achieve increased productivity, reduced downtime and cost efficiencies.”
