Grabone Celebrates First Birthday

Grabone Celebrates First Birthday

91,000 movie tickets, 26,000 cupcakes, 39,000 massages, 1 million holes of golf and one very happy CEO.

GrabOne is celebrating its first birthday tomorrow and GrabOne CEO and Founder Shane Bradley is in celebration mode. In the past 12 months GrabOne has secured 65% of the daily deal market share in New Zealand, has branched into both Australia and Ireland and has launched four additional spin-off websites including GrabOne Escapes and GrabOne Store.

“It’s been unbelievable,’ he says. “I knew it would be big but I never imagined it would happen so quickly. The numbers are staggering – we’ve sold over 1,400,000 coupons to Kiwis over the past 12 months. When people ask what I’ve learned over the past year – it’s how to run, fast.”

Bradley puts his local success down to early adoption and commitment from his team of ‘Grabsters’.

“We got in early, we leveraged social media and we successfully utilised our APN backing for promotion,” he adds. “Most importantly we found an outstanding team of individuals who have worked damn hard to build GrabOne into the household name it is today.”

Bradley’s highlights from the past year are plenty and include “selling 10,000 movie tickets on our first day, hiring 80 awesome Grabsters, hitting the million coupons sold mark after only ten months and not being admitted to hospital for exhaustion.”

GrabOne has also released a limited edition Sauvignon Blanc available through GrabOne Bottle. The label designed by illustrator and graphic designer Allan Wrath, was selected by public vote on the GrabOne Facebook page.
