Shop at Z and Vote for DCM

Shop at Z and Vote for DCM!

Friday 8 July

From today you can fill your petrol tank at an NZ owned petrol station, and support Downtown Community Ministry (DCM) at the same time – but only for the next month, so get in quick!

DCM is excited to be one of the preferred charities of the new Z Harbour City station in WellingtonCity. The rebranded Shell station on the corner of Customhouse Quay and Whitmore Streetlaunched today.

“With every Z site that we open, we will be donating $5,000 to community organisations, with customers able to vote for four local community organisations,” says Mike Bennetts, CEO of Z.

With every purchase made at Z Harbour City, customers will be given a token they then use to vote for one of four charities. The $5,000 donation will be allocated according to vote share.

“DCM is pleased to be partnered with a NZ owned company that has a genuine desire to connect with and give back to the community. This is also another great way for people to support DCM,” says Stephanie McIntyre, director of DCM.

The opening of Z Harbour City is the latest in a 10 site pilot programme of rebranding the country’s Shell stations.

Stephanie says, “Even if you don’t need petrol it’s worth a visit. I’ve sampled the sausage rolls, and they are seriously good.”

DCM encourages our supporters, their friends and family, to shop at Z Harbour City and vote for DCM each time. The scheme ends on 7 August, so go and visit the new station and spread the word.

You can find out more about the changes at Z on their website: www.z.co.nz.
