Media and Communications Manager Sought
Auckland, New Zealand July 14, 2011 – New Zealand Rugby League CEO Jim Doyle announced today that a new position of Media and Communications Manager has been created for the organisation.
Doyle said “We are committed to the continuous growth and development of the game, and while we’ve made very positive steps with our internal communications in the past 18 months we now want to do the same with our external communications.
“There are so many positive stories around rugby league in New Zealand, with our growth in participation numbers, our Club Development and League 4 Life programmes and our country wide community programmes including education and literacy. We are sure this role will be both challenging and rewarding.”
The successful candidate is expected to come from a sports marketing, media, PR or journalism background and have proven experience in a similar role.
