Your chance to recognise NZ global business leaders
MEDIA RELEASE 15 July 2011
Your chance to recognise inspirational NZ global business leaders
Do you know an inspirational business leader who is helping to transform New Zealand's economy by growing internationally successful companies?
Nominations for two leadership categories in
the 2012 New Zealand International Business Awards are now
open and will close on Friday, August 19. Nomination forms
are available on the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE)
website: www.nzte.govt.nz/awards The
Emerging International Business Leader and Outstanding
International Business Leader awards are proudly sponsored
by KPMG. Both awards provide an opportunity to recognise the
people who are leading the businesses on which New Zealand's
future economic success depends, says NZTE Chief Executive
Peter Chrisp. "New Zealand is not short of amazing people
who share an ambition for a thriving economy but when it
comes down to it, it's the leaders of our successfully
internationalising businesses who are spearheading this
charge. It's great to be able to provide an opportunity to
recognise and share their efforts with the rest of New
Zealand," Mr Chrisp says. KPMG Executive Chairman, Ross
Buckley, says the company is delighted to be supporting the
two leadership awards and acknowledging the difference
visionary business people are making to New Zealand.
"Today's global business environment is fast-paced and
challenging. We're looking for nominations of outstanding
leaders who cut through the complexity of this environment
and in doing so, achieve outstanding results in the world of
international business. It is important that they are also
willing to share the lessons they've learned along the way,"
Mr Buckley says. The leadership awards are part of the New
Zealand International Business Awards programme run by NZTE.
Awards activity will culminate in a gala ceremony in March
2012 where finalists and winners get to take their place
alongside other New Zealand business success
stories. ends
