MTA welcomes
Government’s plans to invest in roading
The
Government’s recent announcement of plans to invest and
focus on roading projects over the next ten years are
welcomed says Motor Trade Association (MTA).
MTA
spokesperson Ana Zandi says that this decision will allow
more New Zealanders to drive with fewer issues and have
better access to our roads.
“These projects will
not only help to improve road-user safety and congestion
problems but also support economic growth and development.
Even though roads form only one part of New Zealand’s
transport system, this still remains a primary way many New
Zealander’s travel to work as well as being an important
method of exporting goods to market.”
“It’s also
good to see Government thinking ahead and investing in
roading infrastructure for the future,” adds
Zandi.
