Oxford New Generation Caravan Range for New Holiday Memories

Rebirth of a Legend!
Oxford New Generation Caravan Range to Create New Holiday Memories

Nothing says classic Kiwi holiday like a caravan, and now leading New Zealand motorhome and caravan manufacturer Motek (formerly Ci Munro) is unveiling a new range of the iconic Oxford caravan.

Being launched at the Covi Motorhome, Caravan and Outdoor Supershow in Auckland on September 9, the Oxford 55 and Oxford 65 provide a modern twist on the classic Oxford designs.

Ed Burak, User Experience Design Manager for Motek, says the new caravan design focuses on maximising space, while retaining the original well-loved layouts of the iconic Oxford caravan, and features a contemporary interior that will wow customers.

“We place particular importance on designing products and experiences that are shaped by understanding the real needs of our customers. After extensive research into what Kiwi holiday makers are after, the Oxford 55 and Oxford 65 designs were refined with those elements top of mind.

“Both Oxford models have been designed with a unique spin on the classic Kiwi summer holiday. When combined with the colour palette of the furnishings, from couches to kitchen cabinets, the Oxford has really been bought back to life.”

The evolved Oxfords also sport a noticeably ultra modern exterior. Made from robust, lightweight materials, they’re designed and manufactured to withstand New Zealand’s diverse weather conditions.

With lounge upholstery reminiscent of the stripes of a deck chair and flooring inspired by the colour of stones found at the beach, the Oxford 55 will provide New Zealanders with a holiday away from home that feels like summer at your typical Kiwi bach – only mobile.

The open plan living space merges seamlessly into the kitchen, which comes complete with crisp white cupboards, warm wood finish and all the appliances you’ll ever need. A double door fridge freezer, oven and microwave are all at your fingertips.

For those after a caravan with more of a residential home feel and even greater space, the larger Oxford 65 delivers with a luxurious master bedroom, separate living area and well appointed bathroom.

In addition to the fully equipped kitchen, this caravan includes spacious linen and storage cupboards. Offset by the darker wood cabinetry, the clever use of light interior shades enhances the sunlight coming through the generously sized windows - perfect for relaxing with a great summer read.

Burak says he’s eager to introduce the new Oxford caravans to the public as well as see them become a regular feature on the road and at the beach.

“Designed and built by Kiwis for Kiwis, Oxford caravans have been a part of many a New Zealand summer holiday and we look forward to helping a new generation of Kiwi’s continue this holiday tradition in a modern, quality caravan.”

Oxford caravans are available for sale from September 9, with a special launch price during the Supershow. The Oxford 55 will be priced during the launch at $56,900 (normally from RRP$62,347), while the Oxford 65 will be $65,900 during the launch (normally from RRP$72,097).
