MEDIA RELEASE 19 SEPTEMBER 2011

Saint Clair Family Estate Showing Shining 2011 Releases At New World Wine Awards

A widely recognised New Zealand international commercial wine show has seen Saint Clair Family Estate excel with its newly released Sauvignon Blanc wines from the 2011 vintage. The New World Wine Awards 2011 launched its results today, announcing the top 50 medal-winning wines.

Over a thousand entries were judged by 14 of New Zealand’s top wine judges, with entries needing to score 18.5 or higher to be awarded a gold medal.

Saint Clair Family Estate was awarded two highly acclaimed gold medals:

Gold Medal - Saint Clair Vicar’s Choice Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Gold Medal - Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Both wines are on the New World Wine Awards Top 50 list, further cementing Saint Clair’s reputation of quality at each and every price point.

“It’s a thrill to see the 2011 vintage wines show their potential and be recognised by a top class judging panel,” comments Managing Director Neal Ibbotson. “Both wines provide consumers with a quality wine with great drinking style and excellent value for money.”

The 2011 Saint Clair Family Estate wines are newly released and already demonstrating the Saint Clair shine. Looks like another exceptional vintage is set to show outstanding quality from the family-owned Marlborough winery.
