Skilled Entertainer To Front Business Awards
One of New Zealand’s accomplished television entertainers skilled at improvisation is to be the master of ceremonies at the Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards Dinner in early November.
Mark Wright is an actor, comedian, entertainer and raconteur. He graduated from the NZ Drama School about 20 years ago and worked extensively in professional theatre before embarking on a successful television career appearing in more than 20 different series, including the “Billy T James Show,” “Issues” with McPhail and Gadsby, “That Comedy Show,” Comedy Central and “Newsflash.”
He has appeared in “What Now,” “Shortland Street,” “Celebrity Squares” and “The Mean Team on Sports Night.” More recently he was in “Amazing Extraordinary Friends.”
He has received two NZ Film and Television awards for best performance and is a regional, national and international Theatresports champion.
This year the Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards will be announced and presented at a three course plated dinner in the Southward Theatre in Paraparaumu on Friday 4 November. The event is formal, but black tie is optional.
Unlike the last two years, guests are not being asked to dress for a theme, but event organiser, Kirsten Kilmister, says they can look forward to seeing the Southward Theatre “transformed for an evening of glamour and celebration.”
In recognition of the current economic times, tickets for the event on Friday 4th November will be held at last year’s price, $99.00 plus GST if the tickets are purchased prior to the 17th of October". Tickets can be booked on-line at www.electra.co.nz/businessawards or by emailing kirsten@scopevents.co.nz . There is a discount for a table of ten.
