Cathay Pacific's Fares Offer 300+ Options To UK/Europe
Cathay Pacific's 2012 Earlybird Fares Offer More Than 300
Travel Options To UK/Europe
Cathay Pacific has released its Earlybird fares for 2012, which start from $2099, plus taxes, for return economy class travel to seven gateway cities in Europe and onto a further 103 destinations across UK/Europe and north Africa.
The fares must be purchased by December 19, 2011 and are valid for departures from Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.
Fares start from $2099, plus government and airport taxes, for departures from January 1 to June 30 and September 1 to November 30, 2012. Fares for departures during the peak season from July 1 to August 31 start from $2299, plus taxes. Taxes vary widely according to destinations and range from Rome and Milan at $70 to London at $250 per person.
Cathay Pacific is offering more than 300 different route options, which means that passengers can travel to a destination via one of the airline's major gateway cities - London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Milan, Rome and Moscow - and return via another gateway city. This enables passengers to include three stops within Europe on the one base airfare.
In addition, passengers are also able to purchase another two sectors within Europe on the airline's oneworld partners: British Airways, Iberia, Malev and Finnair, from as little as $150 per sector, plus taxes.
The Earlybird fares also include various bonus offers. For instance, passengers can travel via Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and stop over if they wish. Passengers can also stop over in Hong Kong in either or both directions, and passengers can select a free side trip from Hong Kong to one of 40 destinations in Asia, although they have to pay applicable fuel surcharges and taxes.
Cathay Pacific is also offering Business Class fares to Europe from $8378, plus taxes and surcharges, and again is offering these fares to 110 destinations across Europe.
Once again Cathay Pacific is also providing its Fare Guarantee offer - Cathay Pacific was the first airline to make such an offer, which means that should Cathay Pacific subsequently reduce its fares to below the Earlybird fare levels after December 19, passengers can rebook on the lower fares and get a refund on the fare difference. The only provisos are that there are seats available at the lower fare levels and that passengers travel within the same month they had booked.
Cathay Pacific offers up to 14 flights a week from Auckland to its home base in Hong Kong and 70 onward flights to UK/Europe.
