Chalkydigits
Parties on Stop-Motion Video
Iconic New Zealand clothing label Chalkydigits has found a unique and sustainable way to show their latest clothing range; they have released a hilarious stop-motion video in tandem with their Summer 11.12 range. The video was shot during their Summer 11.12 photoshoot on a local beach and features creative stills strung together to form amusing scenes of tomfoolery and dancing.
“We thought it would be a fun
thing to make as well as a creative and sustainable way to
showcase our latest range of clothing” says Liz Collins,
chalkydigits founder, “also not taking ourselves so
seriously and having a good laugh makes work seem like
play!” The public have made happy noises about the video
so far, but chalkydigits are keen to share the joy even more
and encourage everyone to check it out on their website: http://www.chalkydigits.co.nz/stopmotion.html
CHALKYDIGITS
BACKGROUND
Chalkydigits is no new kid on the
block; at just over a decade old they’ve come a long way
but their core values have stayed the same; what started out
as a casual but cool line of clothing to wear in between
rock climbs has morphed into a major player in the
lifestyle-fashion stakes. They now produce a full range for
both men and women twice a year, adamantly maintaining they
will never take their production offshore. Staying true to
their roots by being made in New Zealand, they now also use
their business platform to co-ordinate conservation projects
aimed at protecting and restoring New Zealand’s endangered
flora and fauna. They like to source their kiwiana-inspired
graphics for their clothing from local artists, to keep
their designs fresh and relevant. The use of high quality
and sustainable fabrics such as zque-certified NZ merino and
organic cotton solidifies their proud status as an
eco-conscious clothing company with a difference.
