Hirepool Extends Waikato Network with 3rd Branch in Hamilton

Hirepool Extends Waikato Network with Opening of Third Branch in Hamilton

Auckland, 22 November 2011 – New Zealand’s premier equipment solutions provider, Hirepool Limited, has extended its penetration into the Waikato region with the opening of its third branch in Hamilton.

The 3,500 sq metre purpose-built site in West Hamilton, currently home of the Waikato portable sanitation site Port-A-Loo, recently opened as a general hire facility to complement the existing Hirepool locations in Claudelands and Te Rapa.

“We see it as a very strategic and potentially strong, valuable branch as the Lincoln Street site has a long history as a general hire location dating back a number of years,” says Hirepool’s Waikato Hub Manager Stan deThierry. “It is well known to both commercial and DIY customers and is ideally situated to serve a growing part of Hamilton.”

Hirepool actually obtained the Lincoln Street site a year ago when it acquired the McEntee portable sanitation business. Previously home to Projex Equipment Hire and Hirequip, the site has been developed to include a council certified dump point for sanitation use.

According to Hirepool Chief Executive Mark Powell it was always planned to extend a general hire offering from the location.

“With the planned North-South roading deviation in the area and the increased business and domestic activity in the Franklin, Melville and Dinsdale areas – and beyond – it made good sense to now provide the total equipment hire solution from that location,” he says. “And the early signs are very encouraging.”

The Hamilton West branch brings the total number of Hirepool businesses to 53, making it the country’s largest hire equipment company network.
