Horizon acquiresShapeNZ

Horizon Research Limited has acquired the ShapeNZ research service from the Sustainable Business Council (SBC).

The SBC launched ShapeNZ in 2006 to allow the public to have a say on major policy issues, recruiting a 14,000 member panel representing the adult population.

Horizon’s Principal, Graeme Colman, says the acquisition will add to the company’s ability to research and fully weight nationallyrepresentative population samples with great speed and cost efficiency.

Horizon, which specialises in online research and already operates the nationally-representative HorizonPoll and Horizon Research Maori Panels, will now conduct public issues research for the SBC.

The sale to Horizon allows the SBC to reduce costs while improving its research capacity.

Horizon conducts market research for major New Zealand andmulti-national corporates and national organisations as well as hosting companies’ customer survey panels.
