New Senior Appointment Continues Growth at Hirepool

New Senior Appointment Continues Growth at Hirepool

Auckland, 9 February 2012 - Hirepool Limited has made a further new senior appointment as it continues to strengthen its position as the country’s premier rental equipment solutions provider.

Michael Lim Chong has joined the senior management team at Hirepool as Commercial Manager. Previously he spent eight years at Tourism Holdings Limited, Australasia’s largest provider of holiday rental vehicles, as financial controller and then as general manager of their NZ rentals operations.

He brings a wealth of senior financial, commercial and rental management experience to his new role where he will drive business performance with strong financial analysis, continuously strive to find efficiencies in the business and provide strong leadership to the finance team. His appointment, effective immediately, follows that of Gary Richardson earlier this year as Sales and Marketing Manager.

Lim Chong says he is looking forward to joining a business with “such a dynamic culture which empowers its people to stretch themselves as it looks to grow and expand in a number of areas.”

Chief Executive Mark Powell says the appointment demonstrates Hirepool’s commitment to create and maintain sustainable partnerships with customers, suppliers and staff. “I’m confident Michael will play a key leadership role in the growth of our business,” he says.

With the recent opening of a third branch in Hamilton, Hirepool has bought its total number of Hirepool businesses to 53, making it the country’s largest hire equipment company network.
