The Official Society for Speight's Mates

MEDIA RELEASE 12 MARCH 2012

The Official Society for Speight's Mates

It may appear to be 'just another website', but the new Speight's BBQ Society is much more than that: it's the ultimate place for Kiwi blokes to go when they're putting on a bloody good barbie.

With lots of recipes and beer matches, the Speight's BBQ Society will inspire you to be “at one” with the grill – dishing up the most satisfying food to all your friends and family.

Dedicated to the relentless pursuit of the perfect BBQ, Speight's BBQ Society provides useful tips like BBQing techniques – a flick of the wrist – and how to judge the “doneness” of your meat using your own hand. It also has a number of specials on offer including BBQ discounts, gas bottle refills and Mad Butcher vouchers.

“Speight's knows that the BBQ is a Kiwi institution. We've just provided a site where people can get their mouth watering over some of our simple rustic recipes. We've also picked out which Speight's would go best to wash it all down with. We hope people make the most of BBQ Society, and take advantage of some our regular specials,” says Shane Bloor from Speight's.

If you dare, try a few of these awesome recipes and beer matches:
• Lamb Rump with the Cap on (Beer Match Old Dark)
• Smoked Beer Can Chicken (Beer Match Gold Medal Ale)
• Pork Chops with Speight's Cider

Check out Speight's BBQ Society, pick your meat, fire up all cylinders, slap it on, crack open a beer, and then relax, as you know everything will take care of itself. Good on ya mate.
