Jameson, the world’s number one Irish whiskey, will kick off the global celebrations for all-things Irish this St Patrick’s Day at The Britomart Country Club in Auckland, on Saturday 17th March, from 2pm.

As the first country to start the celebrations, Kiwis will lead the way at the Jameson St Patrick’s Day Global Party, which will feature over ten hours of live music, including a headline performance from local electro/pop sensation, Zowie.

After achieving major chart success in 2011 with ‘Broken Machine’, ‘Bite Back’ and ‘Smash It’, together with a touring schedule alongside Mark Ronson and Katy Perry, this year will see Zowie release her much anticipated debut full-length album and a host of live shows.

Supporting Zowie at the Jameson St Patrick’s Day Global Party are four-piece indie-rock outfit, Clap Clap Riot and a selection of the city's best club DJs, including MayaVanya, Sam Hill, Daniel Farley, Huffey Street Sound System and Connor Nestor.

“Following on from the success of the first Global Party in New Zealand last year, we’re looking to kick off the 2012 St Patrick’s Day celebrations in true Jameson style, with a stellar line up of musical talent and of course the opportunity to enjoy the perfect Jameson and Dry,” says Kathryn Love, Jameson senior brand manager.
