Yealands Estate Shortlisted for Two Awards in Drinks Business Green Awards

Yealands Estate has been shortlisted for two awards in the Drinks Business Green Awards 2012, recognising international leaders in sustainability and environmental performance.

Shortlisted in the Green Company of Year Award and Sustainability Award categories, Yealands Estate is one of 31 companies globally, to be nominated in these prestigious awards, run by Europe’s leading drinks publication.

“We are very proud to be short-listed for two international awards of this calibre which recognise the sustainable initiatives we have worked hard to put in place at the winery,” says Yealands Estate owner and founder, Peter Yealands.
The Drinks Business Green Awards encourage companies to decrease their impact on the environment, and is the largest programme in the world dedicated to raising awareness of green issues within the drinks trade.

Judged by an independent panel of sustainability and drinks industry experts, the Green Awards examine how companies manage various environmental issues including, water management, biodiversity, community environmental training, and supply chain efficiencies, along with the evolving challenges of global sustainability which face the industry.

Winners of the Drinks Business Green Awards will be announced at the London based awards ceremony on 26 March.
