Guardian Trust Christchurch Settles into New Office Space

Media Release March 2012

GUARDIAN TRUST CHRISTCHURCH SETTLES INTO NEW OFFICE SPACE

After 11 months in a shared office with makeshift, crammed conditions and Port-a-loos, Christchurch Guardian Trust staff are thrilled to be moving into new premises in Riccarton.

The earthquakes in February 2011 left the CBD-based Guardian Trust office in an unworkable condition. After closing down for nearly six weeks, the team restarted in a temporary shared office space. Split shifts were conducted as the team juggled six desks between 13 staff members.

Southern regional manager Anthony Lilley says the entire team has stuck together through the transitional period and worked around many obstacles.

“It is nice for the team to be looking forward to coming to work once again. The shift into new premises has really picked up office morale and we now have a great space in which to meet with clients.”

Guardian Trust’s Christchurch team can now be found on the ground floor at 14b Leslie Hills Drive, Riccarton

General manager of personal client services Philip Morgan Rees says the management of trusts is a very personal service.

“Having a Christchurch office presence is vital in continuing to build and foster the relationships involved with managing trusts – some relationships Guardian Trust deals with span through several generations.

“Guardian Trust takes a personal approach to all of its services, from wills and trusts to investments and estate management.”
