Westpac NZ Launches New Website With Silverstripe Technology

Westpac New Zealand has recently launched its new website, with development of the site being led by Wellington based company SilverStripe Ltd.

The new website is built on the SilverStripe open source content management system meaning Westpac's site administrators are able to manage an increased amount behind the scenes.

Westpac’s Head of Marketing Ian Moody says in-house administrators are able to control and manage the website’s content, navigation and several custom applications without the need for special IT skills.

“The new platform will also provide a significant base on which to build future online innovations.”

SilverStripe was supported by three other companies as part of the project, web designers InfinityWeb, CactusLabs, who built a number of the online calculators, and IBM, who provided the underlying server infrastructure.

SilverStripe has been working with a host of Auckland based clients for numerous years now, and set up an Auckland branch earlier this week. Head of Sales and co-founder Timothy Copeland leads the new office, with Chief Technology Officer Hamish Friedlander managing the technical side of operations.

SilverStripe has worked with the likes of Air New Zealand, Automobile Association, and Metro GlassTech.
