Realestate.co.nz property listings now viewable in Chinese

through partner web site HouGarden.com

Popular property portal officially launched in Mandarin this week
New site first of more foreign language versions to come

AUCKLAND, 17 April 2012 – Chinese speakers in New Zealand and around the world will now be able to view all property listings of Realestate.co.nz in their first language at a new web site dedicated to translating details about New Zealand homes for sale into Mandarin.

The web site, HouGarden.com, was officially launched today at an event at the Langham hotel in Auckland city at 11.00am.

Alistair Helm, CEO of Realestate.co.nz, says the new site is hoped to be the first of several similar partnerships to make property listings information available in a range of foreign languages, both for local and international markets.

“Over 30 per cent of all views of properties on Realestate.co.nz already come from international visitors, with a growing interest from China. However, up until now it has been more difficult for these visitors to appreciate the listings’ detail as opposed to visitors from Australia, UK and USA,” says Mr Helm.

Helm says HouGarden.com will market itself not only in the Chinese community in New Zealand, but also to all Chinese people living around the world, including China’s population of 1.3 billion people.

“Our goal with this partnership with HouGarden.com is to help real estate agents here in New Zealand market their properties better to the Chinese community both locally and overseas,” says Helm.
